Seth Grahame-Smith’s hit novel Pride and Prejudice and Zombies has landed him a six figure book deal from Grand Central Press. The first book slated for him to release via GCP is Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. I think the Lincoln book sounds awesome since I’m not much of a Jane Austen fan.

The 2009 RITA honors romance fiction published in 2008. More than 1,000 novels and novellas were judged in 12 categories. The 2009 Golden Heart Award honors unpublished romance manuscripts in 2008.

Winners of the awards will be announced July 18th at the RITA and Golden Heart Awards Ceremony to be held at RWA’s 29th Annual National Conference in Washington, D.C.
